Okay, not to derail the dogs thread: what kind of pet would suit T?

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by DonViejo (a host of the General Discussion forum).

My first thought would be something like a weasel.

Please don't say a cat. I'm sitting here with our rescued Maine Coon and he has his paw on my arm.

That's why he doesn't have pets, and that's why there IS no pet that suits him. By my definition, the difference between a pet and just some animal is that a pet is a beloved member of the family. I could see Trump having a trained service animal that would do things for him based on his every whim, but never a pet.

Come to think of it, he already kind of has a service animal that caters to his whims despite the fact that he's incapable of loving it back. We call her Melania.

I used to have one as a pet, and I wouldn't wish Trump on any of them. They do not bite unless provoked, which can be said about most creatures.

Alternative pets include black rhinoceroses, hippos, man-eating sharks, stonefish, box jellies, blue-ringed octopuses, cane toads, any animal native to Australia, flamboyant cuttlefishes, porcupines, skunks (non-descented) and sewer rats.
