In 2016 you ran in the Democratic Party primary and pledged to join the party. You reneged on that promise. Why should the voters trust anything that you promise now?

(67,782 posts)....returns, then supplemented that with five more pages from 2014.
In an interview with Andrea Mitchell under the Brooklyn Bridge, on the afternoon of the April 2016 debate (the night before they flew to Rome), Jane Sanders said that she would release the current (2015) return later in April, "when it was due". That never happened.

(4,131 posts)That said... In 2020 we will have a LOT of great Democratic candidates - folks who will be infinitely better than Trump and not make me question their party loyalty.
My question is... even if Bernie somehow wins our nomination against great candidates like Warren and Harris, etc, whats to stop him from immediately switching back to Independent after winning the election?

(2,543 posts)And her initials are AOC. He's expecting an endorsement from her and intends to ride her coattails to glory. It won't work. Look the primaries will run their course and give us our eventual nominee but there are too many good and true democratic candidates available to take a chance on an independent who only wants to be a democratic candidate when it suits his needs and will bolt the party when it doesn't.

(8,710 posts)He will do the minimum to comply with the new rules but he will never sincerely become a Democrat. Not his thing.
He will bash our good nominees and gin up all sorts of anger among his loyal followers who in the end will be so pissed off they will either not vote, vote write-in or bite their tongues and vote Dem but wont work for the nominee or donate. Much like 2016.
We cannot afford this again.

(8,710 posts)If there are any trolls here they are pushing for Bernie. A repeat of 2016 is Trump's best hope to retain the WH.
