Biden is tougher than Bernie on Maduro. This could help Biden in Florida

Bernie Sanders will have to explain to Florida Venezuelans and Cubans why he has decried US intervention against Maduro.

Biden is more pro-Guaido.

I happen to side with Bernie's position on Maduro but I'm a New Yorker who didn't come from Venezuela and who doesn't hate socialism.

I have a favorable view of Bernie's kind of socialism. But again I'm not a Venezuelan or Cuban.

Bernie would also struggle to explain that he's not a socialist socialist but only a "Democratic socialist".

Joe Biden (if he runs) would in my opinion outperform Sanders in Florida against Trump.

1. An anti socialist message from Democrats will not work

and would only split the party. That being said Bernie is no threat to win the primary.

2. He's decrying US Intervention in Latin America, period.

We have a long history of it, and it's not something we should be proud of. For the most recent example, see the Honduran coup of 2009.

3. For me, the jury is still out on Biden's viability...

and not just him.....on everybody else too, including Bernie.

There are so many candidates.

I am just going to wait and see how the polls and voters sort everything out.

4. Democrats should have a very strong pro-liberal and anti-socialist message in our party's tradition.

Not a single one of the liberal advanced capitalist Social Democracies is a Democratic Socialist State.

People should read up on Democratic Socialism.

The Democratic Socialists of America fully supports the Democratic Socialist Maduro in Venezuela.

That's a losing proposition on every level.

Which should be a major consideration for a lot of folks this time around.
