caucuses are a pretty inefficient way to choose a candidate. the more primaries the better.

a real danger of an unopposed trump is that magats will register as democrats to choose a candidate for us.

It is bad enough that states do not have a somewhat uniform hours to vote ( think if each state had polls open from 6 am to 8 pm, how many more people could vote) and not enough locations, but throw in the chaos of a caucus you have a very undemocratic process.

Every caucus in my city went heavily for Bernie. The state was heavily for Bernie.

I hate the caucuses but our state was bankrupted for so long by Brownback and the Republicans who are still in the legislature pushing those same economic policies that switching is not likely to happen. It costs money to change from a caucus to an election and that is one thing we simply do not have is money.

Maybe someday.

Do you find beauty in marginalized groups being unable to participate in the party's search for a nominee?

your opinion in my mouth. Caucuses are undemocratic and disenfranchising. That's a fact. They silence the voices of those who need representation for their issues the most.

The fact that Bernie won our caucus was beautiful. In 08 these people would never have gone for a progressive or gasp...a socialist. Obama was too far to the left for most in our precinct.

A system that disenfranchises working people and does not respect the secret ballot has no place in the Democratic nomination process.
