Everyone but Joe Biden currently has an electability problem in Arizona according to this new poll of likely voters.
Hillary only lost by 3.5%.

(28,339 posts)Polls change because information changes.
Feel free to substitute "Candidate X" where you see Bernie. It pretty applicable to anyone who doesn't like the information they're getting from a legitimate poll.
1.) Too early for polls!
then
2.) Not enough people there know Bernie, it's all name recognition!
then
3.) They're not capturing real voters, just old people with landlines!
then
4.) That's a poll by so-and-so, they've always lowballed Bernie!
then
5.) All the polls are rigged!

(6,377 posts)Arizona has been a red state for forever. Polling the state at a dead heat would be a disaster for Trump.
But I agree with what forklift said. We're still 4-5 months away from debates even starting and nearly a year out from the Iowa caucus. Polls mean nothing right now.

Let's be smart about 2020. The roadmap is clear.

(28,339 posts)than fine with Joe. Biden/Harris would be spectacular.
I have no problem with Booker either.

(731 posts)If I could "wish" a president into office it would be Cory Booker.
Kamala Harris would be on the (very) short list for second place choice.
I could go for Biden/Harris if she maintains (or widens) her great start.
That would be a great ticket.
We can not afford to lose this election in the Electoral College.

(32,630 posts)We need to recognize the fact that some Republicans will not support Chump when the time comes to actually vote. It doesn't matter what they say now, it matters what they do then. "The base" is not monolithic and we keep seeing and hearing that more Repukes are walking away every day.
Who can go out and convince those potential cross-over voters better than Joe Biden? If he selects a dynamic running mate next year I believe he'd be unbeatable. He could certainly stand up to Chump, and I'm not just talking about in Arizona but all over.
I'm committed to supporting our party's candidate no matter who wins the nomination. I haven't decided yet on whom I'll vote for in the primary but I'm started to get some ideas. Joe Biden has a lot of strengths even though I believe his age might be a factor.
