(47,245 posts)So has David Bowie.
So why are the "walking dead" Keith Richards and Mick Jagger still on their two feet?

(3,546 posts)They say running is good for your health? Jim Fixx, world class runner, died when he was only 52. Florence Griffith Joyner, world class runner, died when she was only 38. Keith Richards is still alive!

(3,546 posts)He was recommended for the Monkees by his good friend, Stephen Stills. He and Mike Nesmith were really good musicians who struggled to be taken seriously because of the Monkees.

(1,480 posts)when she was 9. I bought her the entire VHS collection for Christmas that year. She instantly fell in love with it. She's 31 now and as far as I know she still has it.

(10,123 posts)Summer 2016 on their 50th Anniversary Tour. Great show and a wonderful tribute to Davy. So sad. Had a crush on Peter when I was 10.

(14,714 posts)Loved them. And their wacky TV show.
A favorite and oddly somber tune from that album, Shades of Gray:

(7,429 posts)I saw The Monkees in concert on their reunion tour in the late 80's. It was a great experience and I just loved to see him (I always had a crush on Peter). I hate that he died at the age of 77. Rest in Peace Peter.
