I'impressed at how anchors like Richard Liu can just pick up

A coverage with 30 seconds notice. Joyce was filling in for Lawrence o donnel but the satellite link failed. Liu picked it up from his desk, not even the studio and has not missed a beat, interviewing the panel etc..

I wonder how scripted these shows are or if they just have people smart enough to think on their feet and pick it up with no notice.

I like his coverage on weekends. He is really under appreciated.

I miss Thomas Roberts on the weekend. He was one of my favorites and they let him go.

Lots and lots of stumbles and mistakes, mass kudos to him for having learned so much and gotten so good at this.

Probably 50 or more times over the last 15 years.

Both live and pre-recorded. It is not easy and I am talking about a single general subject with reporters throwing softball questions my way.

To do it impromptu on live national tv is not acting. It requires talent and smarts. And nerves of steel.
