Jersey doesn't think very much of President

Updated Feb 23; Posted Feb 23

WASHINGTON — Just 35 percent of New Jerseyans approve of President Donald Trump’s performance in office. Residents of only six other states think less of him ...

Trump’s low ratings in New Jersey come as no surprise. He threatened to shut down the federal government rather than help fund the Gateway Tunnel project under the Hudson River, and championed a tax law that targeted New Jersey and other high-tax states by capping the federal deduction for state and local taxes.

In a midterm election seen as a referendum on the president, Democrats picked up four of the five Republican-held House seats in New Jersey ...

“It transcends politics,” <Gov. Phil> Murphy told NJ Advance Media. “This is not a president consistent with the sort of leadership we’ve had on either side of the aisle basically in the history of our country. This is a guy who calls into question institutions, electoral, the press, NATO. He pits us versus them. He screams out inaccuracies and lies about immigrants and this nonsense of building a wall” ...

We've known this asshole for 40 years. He's always been nothing but a huckster. His crummy casinos, his half-assed real estate deals that needed subsidies, his bankruptcies, cheating small contractors, cheating on his wives and every other low-character move he's made have been right in front of us. It's only partisan politics that can account for anybody in this state approving of him.
