Because it speaks to what, at the end of the day, they want most: to divide and conquer.

They know we're passionate. They love to see us fighting over small differences - or better yet, just perceived differences.

I think she was set up. Using kids makes anyone not giving hugs and speaking down to them seem mean, but if she spoke down to them she’d be pandering. I thought she did an honest job of it. THIS, though. This is what they get away with.

The lines are being drawn and they will seek "needed protection" from those horrible activists who simply want to have their voices heard. John Stewart after vigorously pursuing an extremely righteous bill for 9-11 rescue workers suffering from respiratory diseases (and other trauma) summed it up: "Mitch McConnell has no soul."
