In Florida today they were pushing a patition to stop voter fraud by requiring a person to be a citizen to vote. Doesn't the constitution give all residents the right to vote? You don't have to be a citizen to serve in the military do you?

There were two tables set up asking for signatures. This was in Dunedin at a craft beer fest. Like someone said I
guess they were Republicans making people think there are all kinds of voter fraud.

And in federal elections noncitizens cant vote in any state.
I cant believe there is confusion on this issue.

(18,829 posts)signatures. We both thought it was the first step to requiring ID to register to vote which would make registering to vote on line pretty much impossible.
