HUCKABEE: Republicans Who DENOUNCED TODD AKIN ‘Are NOT Rational’

Huckabee,..Step a little closer to the mike,...a little closer,..closer,...closer....thanks,...now STFU!!!

Fox News host and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee urged his fans to support Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO), who recently said it was impossible for a victim of “legitimate rape” to become pregnant. “The Party’s leaders have for reasons that aren’t rational, left [Akin] behind on the political battlefield, wounded and bleeding, a casualty of his self-inflicted, but not intentional wound,” Huckabee wrote in an email to supporters. “In a Party that supposedly stands for life, it was tragic to see the carefully orchestrated and systematic attack on a fellow Republican.”

Akin created an international uproar over the weekend when he claimed that it was unlikely that the victim of a “legitimate rape” would become pregnant because “the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.” Many prominent Republicans called on Akin to abandon his bid for Senate in Missouri, but he refused to drop out of the race against incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill. “This was a serious mistake, but it was blown out of proportion not by the left, but by Akin’s own Republican Party,” Huckabee continued. “Is this what the party really thinks of principled pro-life advocates?”.....

It really isn't rational to ditch a guy for fully supporting his party's platform and saying what most of them think out loud.

Is that a little bitterness going on there?

Still considering Akin(as in Achin' Arse) has been repeatedly re elected, that in itself is pretty scary.

What is Huckabee up to?

(I force myself to listen to either him, Todd Schnitt, or Mark Levin for a few minutes every day for oppo research to fend off the morons at work)

...and this wacko said (paraphrasing) that what his party did to Akin was the same as if the Republicans and Democrats were playing football, and one of the Republicans fumbled the ball and the Democrats scored. Then the Republicans bench the guy that fumbled. Then they decide to give the ball back to the Democrats and the Democrats score again. Then they don't let him shower after the game and they don't let him ride the bus back to school, making him walk.

I swear, this was the analogy he used. Which further cements my opinion that Huckabee is stark raving mad and that Republicans view everything as a binary sport - my team, your team. What an incoherent, piss-poor analogy.
