McConnell... A rare show of emotion or is it something else in the air?

As I watched the McConnell send off vid of one of his long times aids, I thought I never seen McConnell show this much emotion for anything and with the Turtle recently getting some spotlight for his campaign contributions from ruskies and his wife's strange connections, now I'm now wondering if something else is afoot.

Look at his words: "For more than 12 years, I entrusted Stew with my words and my goals and my reputation, and he has never let me down. He never flagged, he never slowed." "Our watchdog never lost a step. Totally trustworthy, completely reliable, unbelievably competent, the greatest luxury a leader could have."

From CNN: "Stewart has been very close and loyal to McConnell and worked tirelessly to advance the GOP agenda in his role. The two worked together through three different presidents and two of McConnell's re-election campaigns."

So if Stewart advanced the GOP agenda and two campaigns for re-election, why not stick around for a trifecta?

Is this McConnell's future Michael Cohen?
