I don't think I'm alone here when I say this, the GOP/right wing must now be destroyed

No longer just put down to minority status.

Defanged, discredited, debunked, defunded, disorganized, lose their mailing lists, kicked out of office space, made fun of on the street, banned from social media, can't call a cab, and so on. Destroyed.

Even when they got Trump in as President, I thought they were still a legitimate 'other side of the aisle', I continued thinking this when they started calling things like not wanting to get shot in school or wanting to get vaccinated as "socialism" saying to myself "It's just a crazy fringe", but when they looked at Christchurch and started saying "It happened to make us look bad! We're the real victims here!", I can't do that anymore.

If it's my country's legitimacy or the GOP/right wing's legitimacy and right to power, the choice is clear.

I am withdrawing my consent to the Republican Party governance of the federal government.

as the party with ONE more seat controls EVERYTHING

and having that D after your name is everything

Personally, I am a democratic socialist and want very progressive candidates, but for GOD sake not NOW if they cant get elected or if they dont have a D after their name they actually HURT our chances of control

NOW we need to remove the NAZIS first.

Only we will need a super majority in the Senate to accomplish anything.

Mitch McConnell needs to go!

And quite a few of the other R toadies.

See Danascot's OP "This is one of the most frightening articles I've read in a long time."

The GOP worked diligently, through many outlets and organizations, to build permanent control in government--not just at the fed level but in the local levels as well. School boards, city councils, mayors, governors. They created many propaganda institutions--talk radio, the CATO Institute, The Heritage Foundation, The Weekly Standard, and now Fox News. They enlisted the help of Fundamentalist churches (many of which are now mega-churches, some with tens of thousands of members) riling them up about abortion, evolution, and the "war on Christianity".

The Dem leadership ignored this for 60 years, and now we wonder why we're in the situation we're in...?

Step 1 - Vote for Democrats

Step 2 - Read this book, download it, share it with others
https://www.aeinstein.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/FDTD.pdf

Step 3 - Apply this book to the Republican regime, let's find ways to remove their sources of power

Step 4 - Repeat Step 1 and Step 3

we shouldn't expect to change the situation in the next couple of years. The courts are packed and stacked against us. (Hard to believe that Roe vs Wade was decided by a conservative Supreme Court during the reign of Nixon.) And the Republicans are entrenched in political office, which, as we have seen, is not easy to change. Mainly because they cheat.

We need to be realistic about things. And it will take a LOT of effort to reverse the current course.
