Clinton, Ocasio-Cortez poked fun that Kushner used WhatsApp for White House business

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had a joking Twitter exchange on Thursday over Jared Kushner's alleged use of WhatsApp for official White House duties, which may have violated federal records laws.

Ocasio-Cortez tweeted a CNN segment about this with the caption, "But his WhatsApp." The tweet alluded to an online joke about Clinton's use of a private email server as secretary of state. "But her emails" was meant to be a jab at critics who frequently brought up the issue during the 2016 election.

I remember a time when, even without any evidence that the private server had been hacked or compromised, a high government official using an unsecured device was a red light national emergency that required endless speculation and condemnation. Now? Meh. The Trump administration's routine and ongoing breaches of security protocols have been completely normalized.
