...Stone is going down for a host of crimes.

I think "conspiracy" is the word that appears in lawbooks. So when Trump and his supporters look over what is written about him and fail to see the exact precise word he uses all the time, they jump up and down and claim he has been exonerated. No he hasn't.

False statements;
falsely denying possession of documents
tampering with a witness to suborn perjury

Specific acts to impede an investigation, in other words.

Note that it's possible to nail somebody for obstruction of justice if there is no underlying crime, Barr just said it was harder. But the specificity, combined with the false statements, probably qualify. That'll be for a jury to decide based upon a judge's instructions, barring any plea deal.
