The GOP.
They believe they have as much right to be ignorant as you do to be intelligent. They believe ignorance and intelligence are equal in value.
We cannot help if they refuse to educate themselves. They excuse it all as "fake news".
But to scoff at the idea of possible collusion with Russia as a fool's errand is very wrong. There was just too much evidence to ignore.
Who can ignore negotiating with the Russians, during the campaign, to build a Trump Tower in Moscow?
Who can ignore the secret meeting with Putin in Helsinki?
Who can ignore passing top secret information to the Russians in the middle of the White House?
Now, some might say it was not intentional or pernicious, but is that an excuse to ignore it?
When it is about a possible threat to our national security, it is not wise to turn our backs or to ignore it.
It is great if there was no collusion. Hopefully that is true.
But it is a little sickening to watch some Americans pretend there was never any reason to be concerned. It was all a "witch hunt" and a "hoax". They are ignorant and naive.
Meetings, actions, and words were recorded. Denial will not make them go away.
But, we should all be thankful for a free press and a concerned citizenry that were observant enough to keep the people informed during these times.
