Now, the House of Representatives will investigate.

Guaranteed. But here's the rub: That investigation is going to take time - lots of time. There's no way to speed it up. It will continue into 2020, which brings up a serious issue.

We have a Presidential election scheduled for 2020. We have House and Senate elections in 2020, as well. If the House hearings and other investigatory efforts don't end until after the first of the year in 2020, they will have approximately zero effect on the current occupant of the White House.

That's why it's critically important that we pay close attention to the 2020 elections. This is all going to come down to the voters in this country deciding what they want the future to look like.

I'm pissed off at the outcome of the Mueller investigation and its "interpretation" by an Attorney General who was appointed specifically to whitewash Mueller's efforts. But, I can't do a damned thing about that.

I can, however, focus on the next major step in this whole thing: The 2020 elections. I suggest we all turn our attention in that direction, because the voters have the last word on all of this. We are the final check and balance on our own government.

Let's win in 2020 and start correcting the harm that has been done by Trump and his cronies!

Sorry, matters of severe constitutional crises are a top priority. Anything else is a dereliction of duty.

However, the time factor is still in play. The Republican Senate will do whatever it can to block the House.

There are other federal and state investigations still going on, too. We will continue to hear about Trump's cosmic scandal. However, we really, really need to turn our attention to the elections. We can't rely on hope that Trump will get the punishment he deserves. That may well not happen. There are powerful forces working to protect him.

We can, however, vote him and many congressional Republicans out of office next November, if we put our minds and energy to that goal. I worry that we will forget about that until it is too late, frankly.
