Bob Dylan appreciation thread

Come Senators congressmen please heed the call, don't stand in the doorway, don't block up the hall. For he that gets hurt will be he who has stalled. The battle outside ragin' , will soon shake your windows and rattle your walls.

Well, the moral of the story
The moral of this song,
Is simply that one should never be
Where one does not belong.
So when you see your neighbor carryin' somethin'
Help him with his load
And don't go mistaking Paradise
For that home across the road

They can be closed but at the same time they allow the seasons and breezes to enter and flow. They can shut you out or shut you in. And in some ways there is no difference. - Bob Dylan

I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no
Some folks are born silver spoon in hand
Lord, don't they help themselves, oh
But when the taxman comes to the door
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son, no
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no

But then we need to see that no DUers are escaping to Desolation Row.

And someone says, "You're in the wrong place, my friend, you'd better leave"
Walk on you're tip toes
Don't tie no bows
Better stay away from those who carry a firehose
I'm on the pavement thinkin' bout the government
Don't need a weatherman to see the way the wind blows.

Most every democrat over 55 has experienced the longings that are still blowin' in the wind. I guess I am just hoping we can remember enough to see that we must listen to the kids and give'm a big hug, and some policy decisions. If we don't, you know who, will get another term.

When you asked how I was doing, well, was that some kind of joke?
All these people that you mention -- yes, I know them, they’re quite lame
I had to rearrange their faces and give them all another name
Right now I can’t read too good so don’t send me no more letters, no
not unless you mail them from Desolation Row
