The Democrats in Congress should not screw around with Barr on the release of the Mueller Report
They should go to court right now and demand the full report. We don't want any watered down Barr Report. We want total transparency and we have a mandate from the American people( 84%) approval. We will be disappointed with the report we get if Barr starts removing damaging evidence on Trump and the White House gets claim to executive privileges.

1. Surprised they haven't subpoenaed Mueller to read his report aloud
I hope the letter requesting his presence has been drawn up, at least.

5. I agree, only Mueller can explain why he deferred on obstruction of justice finding
Did he do so to let Congress decide or did he hand it off to Barr which is totally unfair considering his audition for his job.

19. Need to hope that John Roberts might be centrist/reasonable
That's our only chance, and he did uphold Obamacare and has been willing to criticize Trump. Hopefully, Clarence Thomas won't retire before 2021 and a Democratic President will get to appoint his replacement.

3. That my concern... they might edit/delete out information. Most of them are damn liars, so it could
be hard to tell if it's been altered or not. I just don't trust any of them.

18. They have to redact certain things
Any personal info that identifies innocent individuals or otherwise non-suspects must be redacted before they can release the report. Don't forget that Mueller interviewed tons of people who hadn't been indicted or subpoenaed, and they gave important background info.
Barr should have until next Tuesday to complete his redaction, then we can throw the book at him. ![]() ![]() |

13. Executive privilege
Can he even claim that about events that happened prior to him being sworn in? I wouldn't think so. Maybe he can for his secret meetings with his idol Putin, but he's not going to be able to use it as a blanket excuse.

29. He can't claim exec privilege just because something
Is derogatory. Supreme Court determined that re Nixon tapes.
Of course not saying he wouldn't try. Barr's probably already in a trump vise. |

9. +1, at minimum the Trump admin would've rushed to dems to set a date they can all agree on
... when it comes to the release including the conditions.
I understand the Clinton effect out of the report but Mueller's outfit wasn't a bunch of political hacks writing the report like Comey it was chosen to be apolitical. |

Said all along that with GOP moles and Whitaker already told trump the juicy parts. That's why trump trashed Mueller to bitter end. Because there is bad stuff.

maybe that could be a pretext for calling Mueller to testify about it. It's going to be very disappointing if nothing comes forward to refute Trump's exoneration bullshit.

and exercise oversight of DoJ now. All Nadler has to do is let Barr know there will be no DoJ appropriations bill until the full, unredacted Mueller report is turned over to Congress.
