And that’s why, as Axios reports, they are planning to hold on to the minority of voters who support the president while working overtime to launch a scorched-Earth campaign against the eventual Democratic nominee.

“The GOP]is going to make whoever the nominee is radioactive well before they get the nomination,” one former Trump campaign aide explained. “That’s Trump’s strategy. Stay at 45-46 percent [in the polls] and just make the other guy radioactive.”

Buttigieg has the best media strategy. He talks up front about his obvious weaknesses and defuses them. He says up front that he wants to make the Supreme Court nonpartisan and explains how he will do it. That means Trump will have to defend biased judges. Good luck with that.

As for Russia, their influence proved minimal in 2018. Yes, they'll come on stronger in 2020, but they won't be as effective. The Russian/MAGA bots have been exposed.

Last time too many people got caught up in our own primary and we formed a circular firing squad. I don't think we'll make the same mistake this time. I think we can beat him easily if we all step up and vote for our nominee. Any Democrat who's running right now is far better than Trump.
