I think that, even as messed up as he was, he would have considered -45 too disgustingly filthy for the seat. Though I do agree that he would have loved to have had a puppet in the Oval Office.

9. Hoover dirty tricks

Everyone believes two things; one that Republican dirty tricks started with Nixon and second that Hoover was blackmailing everyone in Washington. There is a book called “The SS, alibi of a nation” Hoover and McCarthy were the alibi of the Republican “Red Scare” dirty tricks department and nothing has changed since then.
