If Lucy Flores isn't claiming #MeToo as she just says, Let it drop...

Invasion of personal space is too subjective of a standard to impose. Some people get upset if you get within 2 feet when you are talking to them. If it's invasion of personal space, that must be addressed immediately.

6. I have been quite critical of this issue

I stated Biden needed to make a statement and address the issue which he did. I do believe everyone needs to consider how we engage in physical contact because society is changing and people are feeling comfortable to react to unwanted contact, sexual or otherwise. Some people welcome touch while others do not. Some welcome touch by some people while rejecting it from others.

What I have observed here today and yesterday are numerous posts of people showing Flores being touched by Sanders as if this is some evidence of a conspiracy. It is not. I understand Biden has his supporters. I do not hate the man and I do not believe him to be an intentionally creepy individual. It is more likely that he views his actions as entirely benign and friendly. Suggesting some introspection and future consideration is not demonizing him (in my opinion). It shouldnt exclude him rather I believe this can have a positive outcome.

I will end with this, we can speculate all day as to Flores intentions. It is possible that this was calculated and designed to reduce support for Biden and Flores was never made uncomfortable. I certainly dont know but I personally have been made uncomfortable by someone taking liberties (both sexually and not). Having this discussion is more than reasonable. It is too worth examining how we respond to these issues and how we address those instances where someone has weaponized this in an effort to destroy another.

And for the record I am NOT asserting Flores is doing this. I dont know and to date no evidence supports or leans toward this conclusion. Photographs with Sanders touching her shoulder do not a burden of proof make.

8. I just think it's too much, especially for these political rallies...

where people are trying to be close to the big dogs to enhance their profiles. For me, I still don't even shake a woman's hand unless she extends her hand first, but that's me. Could I be judged as not respecting women's equality for being that way? Do I not respect women's equality for letting them enter a doorway first?

I see a comment deleted in this thread. I guess someone really took offense at a harmless opinion. I'm just afraid this personal space issue is a little too hard to define to make a 24x7 issue of. I think I remember even seeing a photo of Ms. Flores having her hand on Biden's shoulder for a selfie. These hit jobs are getting to be a bit too much.

9. She was running for the 2nd highest position in Nevada government

Odd she didn't have the confidence to tell someone who is touching her in a non sexual way it was making her uncomfortable. Even odder she is seen taking a selfie with same individual later with her hands on his shoulder and moving her head close to his.

This smells like a hit job.

Clinton didn't get out there and work the crowds enough, and Biden gets too close-----what's a politician to do?

shoulder squeeze/kiss on head coverage on both CNN and MSNBC. WTF did I miss here? Did he ejaculate on her forearm and lick her cheek as well??????? The only thing missing from the coverage is a Trump tweet and that's because Trump is laughing so hard he can't dictate a tweet. I can't fucking believe this. I would give the woman from Nevada a piece of advice. The next time you feel your space is violated, you turn to the person and tell them to fucking stop what they're doing. You don't wait 5 years and then, at an important time in that person's life, go on all the Sunday news shows to opine about your horrible experience. Biden shouldn't be so touchy feely, but I doubt he's grabbed anyone's private parts, cavorted with wealthy pedophiles or ogled naked teenage girls at a pageant. Fucking put things in perspective. This is a one day story tops, not the end of the fucking world.
