Hillary Clinton For Vice President

By Suzi Parker

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — “We need Hillary in the White House in 2016 or on the ticket in 2012,” an elderly man told Bill Clinton at a recent book signing here. The former president smiled, signed a copy of “Back to Work: Why We Need Smart Government for a Strong Economy,’’ and assured the man he’d let his wife know: “I’ll pass that along to Hillary.”

Arkansas Democrats have been whispering for months that President Barack Obama would be smart to put Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the ticket as vice-president.

After all, it’s no secret Hillary is tired of logging miles as the 67th Secretary of State. She racked up 237,597 miles – as of Dec. 8, the latest date for totals – while visiting 45 countries and logging 506 hours of travel time in 2011. She has already said she doesn’t want a second term as Secretary of State.

When asked about her plans, the former president said, “She’s tired and she wants to come home” and “do the kind of work that I’m doing now.” But, he added, “It’s up to her to come and know what she intends to do.”

Hillary has already said publicly that she will NOT run for elected office in the future.
She wants to retire and work to promote Women's Rights issues globally,
and spend time with the grand babies when they arrived.

President Obama has already asked VP Joe Biden (months ago) to run with him on the 2012 ticket, and Biden said "YES".

p.s. I wonder when all this Hillary for VP articles/posts are going to end!.

whose vote this gets Obama that he doesn't already have, which frankly would be the only real reason for a vp swap. I'm not anti- Hillary, just don't quite get why Obama would do that.

Bill Clinton has never gotten over the 2008 primaries and the fact that the Democratic party preferred a black guy to a member of his family. The whole thing is a slap in the face to him.

It really is time for Clinton to just go the fuck away somewhere and shut up.

Personally, I'd LIKE to see her as VP, but I'll defer to Obama's prerogative.

Honestly, the Hillary Haters here make ME want to .

during the primary are expected to have gotten over it and to support Obama wholeheartedly, but it seems like that doesn't work the other way around. Many of Hillary's detractors from the primaries still regularly trash her and hate her just like during the primaries and that's apparently seen as acceptable. Talk about a double standard.

She's been a good and loyal Sec of State, but that's not good enough for some people.

And for those who wish the Big Dog would "go the fuck away" or whatever, he was a two-term Dem President and left office with record popularity. You can't say that for any other Dem Prez in my lifetime. He's a great campaigner and a skilled politician, and to wish he'd just go away is just plain stupid. He'll be an asset in 2012.

This Hillary hate is WAYYYYYYYY over the top.. That's why she didn't get the nomination in 2008. That's also why I can't 100% support the party because of the hate for Hillary. She would have been a better president than Obama hands down!!

Screw the haters!!

Not Obama, who would look weak and desparate switching runnings mates at this late hour.

Not Hillary, who would go from the incredible job she's done at State to being Obama's second-banana.

Not Joe, who's done a fine job as veep.

And not the Democratic Party, which does not need a 69-year-old centrist as its heir apparent in 2016.

If SOS Clinton is still interested in a presidential bid in 2016, I say not only "yeah" but "hell yeah," but all things in good time.
