Please explain what OPTIONS the house has? I guess my question is What's next, if they refuse subpoena? Court room battle? Is there ANYTHING the House could do that is immediate? (really hate the waiting game, but NOT blaming the house) i kinda know their hands are tied.

The White House and DOJ refuse to provide the requested documents, so the House sends a subpoena which they refuse. So it goes to court. And that means they can drag this out until kingdom come if they want to.

Our system has been Awesome, BUT we NOW know how BAD it can be if our government is infiltrated with TRAITORS!! We get control in 2020 we really need to look at this!! (probably can't do much then except VOTE VOTE VOTE!)

It looks like AFTER we take the White House and the Senate (keeping the House, of course!) we will need to codify many of the norms that Trumpy and the Repugs have smashed.

And yes, VOTE VOTE VOTE!!

It is ridiculous that we have to spell out "It is a crime to defecate in the punch bowl", but that's what it is going to take.

on a daily basis. It's not that I expect Trumpy to change his stripes (would rather he were DRESSED in stripes - black and white ones) but he steps farther over the lines than I ever thought anyone ever could. I'm just sick at the cruelty. If anything, in my life, I do try to be kind. And his instinct is always the opposite.

he could be held in contempt of Congress and the case could get referred to the justice department for prosecution.

If Mueller's actual conclusions are in line with the initial Barr report, then their options will be more limited and they would have to progress with their own investigations. If it's clear that Barr lied about those conclusions then it would be easier to get a court to force additional disclosure.

is that they make Junior, Jared and The Princess look really bad. And it's very possible that Mueller left enough evidence about them for indictments to start flying.

19. I don't see how that's possible

I "get" that he might feel that he couldn't indict a sitting president (he certainly didn't have the authority to overrule existing DOJ guidelines on the matter), but nothing kept him from indicting those others if he felt they committed a crime.

Absent the conspiracy theory that Barr shut down the investigation early and Mueller is just too much of a gentleman to let us know... I don't indictments without new information beyond his investigation.

Congressional committees don't actually have the power to declare such a deadline. They can just threaten further action if what they requested is provided by that time (in this case, the threat of a vote to approve subpoenas).

Nadler has promised a committee vote tomorrow on issuing a subpoena to Barr if Barr's response is unsatisfactory (like, handing over the full unredacted Mueller report).
