7. Think about the setting

He's giving his speech, there are C-SPAN cameras there, reporters (some of whom Trump presumably knows by sight) with notebooks and recorders, and he tells the audience that "someone" is going to "leak" his speech to the media.

That kind of cognitive disconnect is on a par with "It's time to take grandpa's car keys." If it was ever funny, it isn’t anymore. And it’s unconscionable that there are Republicans in the House and the Senate watching this unfold, but because they’re “winning” something while the country is in terrible danger, they sit by and do nothing.

I hope it doesn’t come down to some disastrous end, but if it does, every one of those motherfuckers in a position to do something about this shitshow who are just sitting by right now need to go down with the rest of us.
