Certainly, there is a concerted effort to oust Biden

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Yonnie3 (a host of the General Discussion forum).

If you have any question about it just ask Howard Dean whose presidential aspirations were shut down over an enthusiastic scream.

This is absolutely a disgrace.

Republicans will say Dems can't complain about Trump and his attitude towards women because ... Hey look at the nominee Biden. They can get a lot of ads out of this and being hypocrites doesn't bother them at all. That's a bonus.

I guarantee that this will not be an issue in the general election if Joe wins the nomination. I doubt that Republicans will want to debate who the bigger pervert is, Biden or Trump. I didn't word that right, I don't consider Biden a pervert.

but against the suggestion that he was ever acting with improper intent - and explain clearly how he has been an advocate for women. He can't let himself be sexually swiftboated. I remember when Kerry was running and the whole swiftboat canard was circulated, and his campaign made the decision to ignore it rather than give it undeserved attention. That turned out to be a mistake. It's no longer possible to ignore these sorts of hit jobs in the hope that they will just go away, because the perpetrators will ensure that they won't. You have to hit back.

in this way. This is not me too and will destroy me too...it is a politically motivated hit on a decent man. I have a Dad , brothers and a wonderful husband who should not face such bullshit atacks which can`t be defended against easily. Consider the similarity to the communist hunt in the 50 's. Unproven accusations of often innocent behavior were all it took....waiting for the ' have you no decency moment'.

Dean's problems started before the Scream. Gephardt hammered him leading up to the Iowa Caucuses. He came in a distant 3rd behind Kerry and Edwards and never recovered. I'm dubious the scream was ever more than an excuse for people who already had soured on him.

if Biden chooses not to run (he still hasn't announced), then the right wing rage machine will go after the next person on the list, then they will drop out, then the right wing rage machine will go to the next one and on and on.

this is their plan, bet on it.

Biden, like him or hate him, believe him or not, we have to hold firm, he has to hold firm. It is up to us Dems to decide whether or not we want him to represent us, not the pundits, not the accusers, not the ever changing tide of public option as presented to us by the media. It's up to us.
