You want votes? Stop being candy-asses. If they want to play hard ball lets bean them a couple times. Make them respect the plate. Give voters something to hope for again. Nobody is going to jail. The status quo will be maintained and it at best will be a standoff between the Executive and the Legislative branches with a possibility that the Judicial will also chime in, but even should that happen.... Nobody is going to jail.

18. A Federal Judge!

Failure to answer a subpoena is grounds for the CRIME of contempt of Congress.

Unless enabler Bill Barr call off prosecutors (a real possibility I admit), criminal charges are filed, a trial as to the facts (did they or did they not answer the legal subpoena(s)?) is held.

If the answer is NO, the subject can be jailed.

THIS is the Constitutional enforcement of separation of power in our Republic.

If Barr sandbags the process, he is subject to impeachment (for whatever THAT means.

The bottom line is, we have a lawless President enabled by a lawless AG and a lawless Senate majority.

....and a third of our fellow citizens think that's just fine.

the guilty -- after all that trial, judgment and sentencing time -- in jail.

Our enemy is time.

This process, not ever really tried against a cabinet member or AG, could be such high drama in media that who knows what all could break out.
