Final Vote Count - My step-daughter won a seat...

..o.n the Fort Collins, CO, city council. By only 40 votes.

Every vote does count!

I so admire her for doing this. I am way too chicken to ever run for office. My idea of torture would be having to go knock on doors and introduce myself to a bunch of strangers.

I was just in FC a few weeks ago, my youngest's best friend goes to school there, and we went up to visit. Great town. Give your step-daughter our best wishes!

But we know that in Virginia, a democrat LOST by 1 vote (actually the one vote caused a coin flip or something like that and she lost). Any democrat driving home from work saying "maybe I don't need to vote" should really do some rethinking, republicans almost never do not vote.

The fishbowl would have been irrelevant. This is why voting for the democrat in EVERY election is so important.

Again congrats to your step daughter. I hope this is the beginning of a long career of making political and societal change for her. Tell her good luck from some annonymous guy on the Internet.
