WE NEED TO START IMPEACHMENT NOW. WE CANNOT WAIT.

If McConnell says he will not even VOTE on House-passed legislation - not even VOTE on it...

IRS breaking law to conceal taxes...

MINORITY committee members threatening the accounting firm to intimidate and scare them into not complying with MAJORITY'S legal demand for the taxes...

Barr covering up the Mueller report...

Trump using twitter to put out hits on Democratic Members of Congress...

Little or no media coverage of House-passed legislation...

WE HAVE NO CHOICE.

POLITICALLY AND MORALLY WE HAVE NO CHOICE.

I don't care about "it won't pass the Senate." PASS IT IN THE HOUSE.

GET ALL THE EVIDENCE OUT TO THE PUBLIC IN THE IMPEACHMENT HEARINGS AND FORCE THE MEDIA TO COVER IT.

While we run our pressure campaign against vulnerable GOP Senators like Collins and Cornyn, up in 2020.

IF PELOSI DOES NOT PURSUE IMPEACHMENT NOW the base will become demoralized. Why did we work so hard for the blue wave in 2018 if you CAN'T CONDUCT OVERSIGHT AND CAN'T LEGISLATE?! UNACCEPTABLE.

MUST ACT ON IMPEACHMENT NOW. THERE IS NO OTHER CHOICE.

Mon Apr 15, 2019, 01:58 PM

Throughout her career, she's been reluctant to pursue impeachment. She declined to approve of Bush 43's impeachment articles, citing the "tearing apart of the country" if impeachment proceedings were initiated. Because, I submit, 43 wasn't impeached, we have a much bigger force intent on destroying the Rule of Law. Yet Pelosi, still playing some obtuse "long game", is dragging her feet on an impeachment inquiry that should have begun 3 months ago. There is no LONG GAME. There is only "save the Constitution RIGHT NOW."
Trump laughs at the long game. He can run rings around rational plans. Pelosi needs to move NOW.

February of this year, Senate passed a bill that denounces the Boycott, Divest, and Sanction (BDS) movement 77-23. This bill “allows state and local governments to boycott companies that boycott the country of Israel. This is a crime against humanity, the Palestinians are being slaughtered by the weapons we sell to Israel, yet our news is completely silent, of course you'll note how many military TV ads aired during the (so called) NEWS is why we'll never hear the other side of the story. If you impeach Trump and don't convict him, here's what happens:

1. You let Trump and his apologists claim he was acquitted.

2. You let Trump rally his troops on the argument that the Democrats are "out to get him".

3. You risk pissing off the middle of the road voters who helped us win the House back on the assumption that we were going to focus on their economic issues, not fixate on Trump personally.

All of which lessen the chance we'll win the White House and INCREASE the chance we'll lose the House.

It's not a secret what Don the Con is and an impeachment trial isn't going to reveal much that we don't know. If grabbing women by the private parts didn't damage him, I doubt much of what would come to light would make any difference at all.

There's no procedural or political reasoning that factual in not impeaching Red Don right now.

Getting light isn't about damaging the damaged ...

Red Don is Putin's whore and Putin's going to back his whore again in 2020, we don't have time for that.

We do have to get the light out to stop it again, there's no reason to think the Russians are going to sit this election out.

The Watergate hearings were never impeachment hearings. Nixon resigned before he could be impeached.

We have to educate the American public before we can impeach him. We have to make him an albatross around the Republicans' neck, or we're wasting the best chance we have to utterly disgrace him.

That said, I wish the Democrats would get moving a little faster.

This is not fast and furious stupidity the KGOP has made up.

When people are charged with OoJ and put in jail then they think twice about not obeying a lawful order to give Red Don's tax returns for instance.

Barr doesn't want to charge?

Impeach him too, RussiaPublicans would do such in a jiff if Obama asked Kenya for rMoney's personal emails during an election.

We don't actually need to bring the case to the Senate until the election gets very close. We could actually have Trump encumbered by impeachment proceedings ... during the height of the campaign season.

Make a good enough case for the next 15 months, and force the GOP to vote to refuse to remove him right before the election, it could look very, very bad for them.

Whether or not to do so depends a LOT on how sure the Dems are that they can come up with truly compelling evidence that will convince the small % of the 'undecided' public.

And Clinton was not at all like idiot boy. A totally different reality so that reason just doesn't fly anymore. And at least letting the public know just what he's done will be helping us at the polls, because right now the majority of voters are not really following what's going on, their just trying to keep their heads above water due to what this administration has done to them financially. We know whats happening be cause we're political junkies. The average American won't begin to follw politics until 2020 when the primaries begin. Impeachment hearings will at least get their attention.

Try to think strategically.

The POINT is to put the evidence in front of the American people in Articles of Impeachment and underlying documentation, and let the PEOPLE propel the adjudication of the criminality of Trump.

Let the chips fall where they may, then.

Removal from office is not the goal. The GOAL is the right of the people to be fully informed prior to 2020 election.

This whole damn thing is almost a mirror absolute actions taken by Hitler as he assumed his power in the 30's
Now with the IRS and Trump taxes and all the lying by various Government agencies to protect Trump...Well
Its time to put forth an Articles of Impeachment legislation and set back and take note of how the Majority of Americans want this to happen.

There is corrupt, obstruction of justice all over the place..Trump,Barr,The Treasury Secretarty and yes Rod Rosenstein..so lets get the ball rolling.

The House impeaches trump, strictly along party lines.....then the Senate finds him 'not guilty', strictly across party lines.

Then, what? Here's what: Headlines that say shit like: "Trump Exonerated!"

Which information comes out in the hearings that turn trump's supporters against him (besides the info we already know, that hasn't turned his supporters against him)?

All the things you mentioned, were things that the media has already reported....and it really hasn't made all that much of a difference.

Mon Apr 15, 2019, 06:24 PM

The Mueller report being obstructed by Republicans should be of no surprise to anyone. We all knew going in that Mueller could become timid on his investigation for the sake of his party or that once the investigation was finished, the GOP would go to any lengths to squash it. Most decent people suspect that Barr's version of the Mueller report is bullshit and that the new "redacted" one will be bullshit as well. It's going to take impeachment to force the real story into the light. If we back off now then we appear to validate the right wing's claims that we are just disgruntled sore losers and that Trump has been "vindicated".

What's to lose by not impeaching? If the Democrats can't even hold a world-class buffoon like Trump accountable why would people want to waste a vote on them in 2020?

What's to gain? At least Democrats would be standing up for what they know is right and letting other Americans know that they will stand and fight for Democracy and the rule of law, no matter what the cost is.

Better to lose fighting for what's right, rather than to lose for being a fair-weathered milquetoast version of what we should be.
