IIRC the bridge was built in the 14th century.
I'm glad I've had the chance to visit both wonderful treasures.

(27,823 posts)1. This is the most devastating European historical destruction, of my lifetime
I've been to Westminster Abbey, many times, so I have a deep comprehension of what is being lost in this building.
Cathedrals, like Coventry, were bombed and destroyed during WW2. St Paul's was destroyed during the Great London Fire. And now we are experiencing the kind of shock such destruction causes, first hand.
My heart breaks for the people of France.

It's an unfathomable loss.
