The Democratic House is not going to pass anything that the Republican Senate will vote for...

All the talk about healthcare, jobs, pick your issue, will be blocked by McConnell and the Republicans.

Yes, Democrats prefer to talk about these "bread and butter" issues instead of impeachment, but neither one is expected to be more successful than the other?

It makes some feel good that talking about these "kitchen table" issues will be more effective than talking impeachment, but there is no evidence to prove that.

Most likely, votes on either issue would fail in the Republican Senate.

We should stop pretending that talking about healthcare and jobs will have any more success before the 2020 election than talking about impeachment.

It's all talk.

benefited the country and will know the Republican senate blocked them. I see that working in the Dem's favor. Plus Republicans are worried about losing power. They see 2020 slipping away.

Fearmongering is their only option.

But now have the power to hold him accountable. They need to use it.

That's why I think impeachment proceedings should be underway. Let the fucking Republicans vote against it---then hold them accountable.

McTurtle will use his favorite tactic and refuse to allow anything to come to a vote, so there will be no record of anyone voting against something that would help people.

they vote no on the kitchen table issues that the American People want and the House passes on to the Senate. It will put a spotlight on the Repugs obstruction that will lend itself well to campaign ads for the Dems.

Democrats should do their part so that they can show Americans that they’re trying and let them see that it’s the GOP Senators and the GOP President who are holding up progress. They need to pass bills as if the Senate and Presidency are in friendly hands. A few of the bills might make it all the way, you never know.

We should pursue impeachment, though, because it is the right thing to do.

Passing bills in the House is useful because it clearly demonstrates what the party will do if it wins.
