From the NY Times, an article online this evening, for tomorrow's paper:

Even now, backers like Ms. Ryan see the Paul campaign ending in a fizzle rather than a bang at the convention. In addition to disappointments over delegates, Mr. Paul, who finished second to Mr. Romney in New Hampshires signature primary, will not get to address the party convention.
That reflects both sides of the movements new circumstances. To enhance its long-term viability among Republicans, Paul campaign leaders decided to cooperate with Romney forces for a smooth convention, while eschewing compromises that would have alienated core supporters even more.
Mr. Paul, in an interview, said convention planners had offered him an opportunity to speak under two conditions: that he deliver remarks vetted by the Romney campaign, and that he give a full-fledged endorsement of Mr. Romney. He declined.
It wouldnt be my speech, Mr. Paul said. That would undo everything Ive done in the last 30 years. I dont fully endorse him for president.

Stop sending foreign aid to countries when we can't afford it.
The usual stuff that makes sense.

Just like he goes beyond the common sense of legalizing weed into the madness of legalizing heroin
Going to extremes is what madmen do. And Ron Paul is definitely a madman

(2,163 posts)The power of a President is paving foreign policy not domestic as many like to think.
Sure if he has both houses he can try to sway them to send bills he endorses.
But in the end his power lies with what he can do without congress.
Not with them.
Ron Paul has a very sound foreign policy. Too bad you can't see that.

(12,041 posts)Before then however I am still going to hold out hope that they disrupt the convention, just enough to cause an embarrassment for Romney is all I ask but if they can bring about chaos all the better. Obviously Romney will be the nominee no matter what happens, but I would love to see a disastrous convention.
