I can not believe my husband, who loves Rachel, is so tired of ALL OF THE MUELLER STUFF.....

we’re now watching WPT.....Wisconsin Public Television. I’m sure the public don’t care about the Mueller Report and for my husband to say turn the channel........is huge. I know my neighbors don’t watch anything political and I do love them.....but I know they have voted for tRump. Most folks DO NOT CARE ABOUT WHAT GOES ON IN WASHINGTON DC.

the Mueller report. I see the Democrats don't have the political will to do what they should. Oh we can't impeach him we could lose in 2020. There is a strong chance if he isn't impeached we will be stuck with him 4 more years. Get a fucking spine for once!

of times and so far nobody is answering but I'm asking: In your 'real life' Are you hearing (non political) folks talk about the Mueller report and all it's revelations?

Are you hearing folks talk about impeaching? I for one have not heard one peep anywhere about this in 'real life'....yet.

That was shortly after the 4-page letter was released. Based on discussions here, one would have thought that everyone knew everything about it. Alas, no.

We tend to forget that not everyone is as politically involved as we are or is exposed to as much news, etc. Most people, I would argue, are largely apolitical in their real lives outside of around election times.

sad, this is our country we all have a stake in this or we will lose everything.

Or do you want to hear this POS say Americans don't care about the Mueller report, no collusion. Cause he will say it.

or at least they arent in my world. As has been mentioned on DU before regarding us lurkers and posters, we arent normal.

I told someone today that I spent some time skimming the Mueller repprt last night. They gave me quite the "are you serious,Clark?" look.

My friends are between mid 20s to late 30s, and I have yet to speak to one who doesn't know about the Mueller report and want Trump impeached. Most do not watch 24 hr news networks, most could care less what happens in Washington but they do care about Donald Trump. In fact most of my friends have been calling for impeachment before the Mueller report came out. But then again, we are mostly minorities, some of us are from where Trump would call s-hole countries. My phone was blowing up with text messages on Thursday, from friends and family members in regards to the Mueller report.
When Trump's words and actions have directly impacted your life in a negative manner. When Trump has insulted/brought harm to your people and made you feel less than human, of course you'll want the Mfer out of office. I have friends who have voted for the 1st time in 2018, so that the Democrats could put a check on Trump. Make no mistake, the immigrant community is paying attention.

confirming the Republican claim the Mueller report was nothing but a witch hunt and it turned out to be a nothing burger. If they don't impeach Trump he will beat them over their head about the witch hunt until he gets re-elected.

I don’t talk to neighbors or even friends about it. The subject has become so toxic I can’t predict how others will react and thus keep my thoughts to myself.

Perhaps this is the case for many.

that he's a fucking monster and needs to go. But I don't bring it up to friends/acquaintances/coworkers (well partly because I refuse to even speak Commandant Bonespurs' name, or in any way recognize him as legitimate, and everyone I speak with on a regular basis knows this), and it's not really the kind of thing that comes up in small talk with strangers--as you say, it's such a toxic subject...plus the MAGAts, even if they aren't wearing a red hat or some other kind of fascist symbol on their clothing, generally tend to make themselves known before too very long, and I certainly don't want to talk to them about...well, anything really.

and how important she thinks an issue is.

i get tired of some of this sometimes also. not really with the news people but the whole thing gets frustrating because of the actions of the corrupt republicans and it's good to tune out at times.

but that doesn't mean i don't want others to stop reporting on it. and many times we have gone back to see how somethign that happened now was connected to or related to something that was mentioned then.

Nobody paid any attention at first. I remember people using that exact quote "Most folks do not care about what goes on in Washington, DC." The TV was on at airports etc and no one would be watching. Then as the facts came out over time and as Nixon spun off the tracks people, one by one, tuned in and next thing you know, he's getting on the helicopter, leaving town.
