In 2016, nothing was done or said about trump's colluding with Russia because everyone assumed Clinton would win. Now, some people want to repeat history by allowing trump get away with his crimes & misconduct in order to boost our chances in 2020.

So what happens when Russia intervenes & hands trump the presidency again? It would be too late to impeach then, BTW. Democrats would be blamed, and rightfully so. Why are people so concerned about turning off trump supporters?! It's time to start caring about how the base feels!
