I favor impeachment, and I hope that my representative does too. This decision is much too important to leave up to one person, even if she is Speaker of the House. If the American people want impeachment, our representatives should move forward with it.

(12,344 posts)The Speaker and the Senate Majority Leader control the floor agendas, therefore they control everything. Seems like there should be a better way, but how would that work? Seems like there ought to be an easier to force floor votes than currently exists.

(53,410 posts)The Democratic leadership still work for us. Otherwise they would be no better than the Republicans. Hoyer and Pelosi are acting in good faith that impeachment would be bad for our Party. They are political animals who are entrenched in Congressional political chessplaying of the past. The newly elected Democrats are not and they bring a younger generational concept of politics to the table.
The transition is on. Were watching it as it happens. It is inevitable that changes in methodology will happen. Our role is to decide which direction we will follow, and champion.

They just got the roadmap to impeachment from Mueller.
If the House just jumped in unprepared right now on impeachment they would look like they had no Idea what they were doing.
I am impatient also. It is pretty obvious that Trump is a low-life criminal, but congress needs to make sure they have a solid case.

We play our cards right, impeachment will happen. But it will be a marathon, not a sprint. Public hearings, public hearings, public hearings, day-in, day-out. Soften the target, then fire.
