Get Ready For Jesus: The Rapture Is April 23

https://www.patheos.com/blogs/progressivesecularhumanist/2018/04/get-ready-for-jesus-the-rapture-is-april-23/

Fox News reports the end of the world is April 23, according to prominent Christian numerologist David Meade:

For a certain branch of evangelical Christianity, Revelation 12:1–2 describes the beginning of what is known as the Rapture and the second coming of Christ.

The passage reads: “And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of 12 stars. She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth.”

In the passage, the woman is represented as Virgo.

According to Meade, the alignment represents “the Lion of the tribe of Judah,” marking the Rapture, the belief that Christ will bring the faithful into paradise prior to a period of tribulation on earth that precedes the end of time

If you haven't seen The Leftovers tv series, I liked and recommend it -- enigmatic sci-fi mystery, smarter than most, with an actually rather satisfying explanation at the end for what had been a very confounding, disturbing rupture in humankind's reality.

Yes there were vacancies... homes, cars, jobs, in marriages... after one October day when 2% of all people simultaneously just blipped out of existence globally. Not based on virtue, but randomly... it was no Rapture.

We find out in the finale of its 3 seasons that it could have been worse than being leftovers where they were.

I'm saying no more so as to not spoil ths show for those who still might watch it.

It was invented by John Nelson Darby.

It really upsets the evangelicals when they're told this.

Reports that the world will end on Monday are incorrect, according to the man reported to have said the world will end on Monday.

Numerous news organizations reported this week that the world would be destroyed on 23 April, citing David Meade, a Christian conspiracy theorist who has made a number of incorrect predictions about the end of the world.

But in an interview with the Guardian, Meade described these reports as “fake news”.

Meade, who has written 14 books – mostly focused on the end of the world or the mysterious planet Nibiru, thought by some to be on a collision course with Earth –said he does not in fact believe the world will end on 23 April.

...comes to take God's favorite children (I'm sure Jeffress is one) to paradise in Heaven just before he smites the sinners with tribulations, followed by an eternity of pain in the fires of Hell, after dying 2019 years ago on a cross to forgive us and save us from our sins.

We were kind of a crazy group, would celebrate everything. Don't think I could survive the alcohol abuse to my body anymore. Maybe just a toast with the husband, I think we still have some beer in the fridge from our riotous St Patrick's day celebration. If it does happen, well cheers
