Why spend millions of dollars in the 2020 election cycle trying to educate voters what the Mueller report says when you can educate them thru live, televised, unfiltered impeachment hearings? Lewandowski & McGahn under oath telling us how Trump ordered them to obstruct justice.

(56,828 posts)is getting the spin on the Mueller report from Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Trump himself and others.
If even 10-15% of them can at least be turned off from Trump, it will be huge

(11,495 posts)"half" of America does not watch Fox News, listen to Rush, or buy into trumps lies. You may have a third, or less, that are in this category. The majority who do listen to these idiots will NEVER be turned off by trump, they have been brainwashed and will never listen to reason.
The people that the Democrats need to be reaching out too, are the 46% who sat home in 2016 and didn't bother to vote. Many never though that a dolt like trump stood a chance so they didn't bother. Some were just tired of all the shit coming at the, with help from Russian trolls, they were just fed up. But one thing for sure those who fell for trumps lies "DID" get out and vote and they are his die hard base right now. We need to get "everyone" out to vote and those who were in the 46% are the ones we need to convince, not the cult followers from fox, Rush, or trump who never change their minds.
Just my two cents worth.

(37,648 posts)is that he didn't mean that specifically. He was just ranting and venting, like he always does. Like Henry II saying, "Will no one rid me of this turbulent Priest?" So his men killed Archbishop Becket brutally, thinking Henry II meant it literally. But Henry said he was just venting. I don't buy it that Trump was just stressed & venting, since he specifically asked people to fire Mueller, at least twice. But ...
There's one shot at impeachment. It's best to have a rock solid case that the public will support.
Maybe Congress should roll in monetary fraud, if they get his tax returns.
Maybe they should file a secret indictment, so Trump can be charged when he leaves office.
No need to rush out with impeachment papers. All the ducks need to be in a row, and the leaders need to come up with the best strategy. Maybe once they get the unredacted report and see all the underlying evidence, they'll decide it's strong enough to put that on the historical record as the reason for impeachment. The public has to be behind it.

Needs to be done for the right reason and this seems like the right reason.
But lets not jump into this blindly. Need to bring in Barr, Rosenstein and Mueller to find out why there was so much difficulty in getting admissible evidence, etc. Was the 5th Amendment overused to cover up crime for the boss. How pervasive was witness tampering at the highest levels. What can be done about these things.
Done wrong and that TV coverage can backfire.

(8,652 posts)...we can subpoena anyone in before any one of 3 committees. We don't need to hand the other side a talking point to achieve the same goal. Oversight, not impeachment is the winning strategy.
Unless you can list me the 20 Republican Senators for conviction.
