Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way!

Waiting for a majority of Americans to back impeachment is the opposite of leadership.

I'm not necessarily talking about Pelosi. But Hoyer comes to mind. I think Mueller and McGann should go on the record before the Judiciary Committee first.

But this "not worthwhile" business is weak. This is not the time for weakness.

And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks

If the Republicans want history to record that they shirked their duty to their country let them. But if we do the same then we are unworthy of the Republic we were given.

Why not, "We have a lot of work ahead of us when we get back" or "our committee chairpersons will be looking into all aspects of the report and how to go forward". There is no need to throw water on the idea. That sounds rigid, foolish, and not open to discussion. It doesn't sound like representative government to me. It sounds like "get off my yard!"

right this second, but it would be nice for them to stop signalling that they are just fine with him getting away with everything.
