To hell with the backlash mantra! If we are going to go down (and I don't think we will) we need

to go down fighting! We fight with legislation. We fight with impeachment proceedings. We fight with plain simple truth.
We cannot fight being fearful. We cannot win being weak. We cannot be victorious being vacuous. We cannot lead being led.

IMPEACH THE BASTARD!!

And as I've been screaming from the rooftops lately, we need to hammer home, especially among our own base, that impeachment proceedings culminate with a vote on whether or not to impeach, only upon an affirmative decision regarding which does the Senate get to start to play their tricks. We can hold impeachment proceedings and use them to find and disclose the truth without letting the Senate Republicans ride in to exonerate Trump before the election.

Whether or not impeachment proceedings progress to the point of even a vote on articles of impeachment, let alone a Senate trial over them, before the election, the very fact of the investigations being part of official impeachment proceedings gives us vastly more power to get at the truth, and much more attention on what we uncover than we can achieve otherwise.

To ethics violations. An affair if I remember correctly. Dennis Hassert came in for another 4 speakerships. How did this hurt the repukes??

I feel bad for the kids with Denny and all but politically the notion that Repukz Congress was hurt but was not lost. 6 seats in the house to be exact. Dennis Hassert was speaker until Pelosi in 2006.

Why do we believe it will hurt us when it was the wrong thing to do (a BJ) and they held on when now it’s the only thing to do to save the republic because our President is owned by Putin, Saudi and China?

We have been sold.

We either break free or get on our knees.

Gingrich had to resign when the repukes still had control due to his infidelities. 2 separate independent issues.

Hold the hearings to expose the facts and the truth to the voters. Pass the Articles of Impeachment just before the election. Let the Senate go down in history as upholders of corruption and lawlessness.

Impeachment is certainly warranted, but impeaching tomorrow without the evidence is rushed. The goal is to remove a corrupt political establishment, it requires a D-Day-like planning and overwhelming assault.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

It will be hard but it is the right thing and the remedy for the situation.

If Tru$$ia isn’t worth it, then no one is.

The backlash is from within our own party. We caught the tiger by the tail. It time to wrap it up and remove the pest from our country. We have strong leaders and we are the majority of the people.

We do what is right. We respect the law. We believe in hope over fear.

Democrats need to stand up for their principles and do their duty. The republicans haven't been fighting fair from the beginning, I have no idea why people seem to think that not impeaching Trump will give us control of the narrative or assure victory in 2020.

I'm beyond sick and tired of the Dems trying to be reasonable with a tyrant acting liking a screaming two year old. As Churchill once said, "You do not reason with a tiger when he has your head in his mouth."

tRump is only one of the rethugs who are employing gangster-like tactics to wrest complete power away from the people and the only representatives who are put there by the people to do it. McConnell started this shit show when Obama was in office and they are continuing as we speak. The rethugs effectively have (or certainly believe they have) the power to negotiate Dems away from doing what they need to do. McConnell will continue to pack the courts with their jake leg shills and tRump will sue and keep suing Dems in perpetuity if the Dems don't fight back. Gracefully declining to impeach is the same this as declining to indict these lawless, corrupt and Russian-tainted criminals.
