He's been underwater ever since he announced his candidacy. He entered the WH with the lowest ratings in Gallup's history, and they've been around since 1935. He's only hit 50% on Rasmussen and they trend conservative.

He slipped below 50% about May 1973, over a year before he was impeached. He was at 24% approval when impeachment was referred by Committee to the House July 1974. For a few months before the "remove from office" figure had been flirting with 50%.

Trump never was as popular as Nixon was.
