That compares with a public more evenly divided over which party would better handle several other major areas of national policy.”

“Among all Americans, 42% support a single-payer plan like the one espoused by [Bernie] Sanders, while 31% express opposition. … The partisan gap narrows significantly, however, for the option of Americans buying into a government program. The GOP has no plan.

The GOP never intended to have a plan, other than the health care industry getting richer at the expense of everyone else.

Medicare is a known quantity, with name recognition and customer satisfaction.
