I read Crime and Punishment for the 1st time since doing so reluctantly in high school 3 years ago. It was one of those required books that I had problems getting through. As a mature adult it worked better. It is one of 3 novels that I had trouble reading completely through in H.S.. The others are Moby Dick and Don Quixote. I have tried to read through those 3 times without success.

There was a great article in TPM, linking to an article in NYT, There was conspiracy by the Russians - Mueller proved it.

Unfortunately the narrative has been set by Barr summary letter and the MSM continues to parrot that interpretation.

Bill Maher has a great segment on Mueller from last night - Crime and No punishment.

I’ve seen more references to God in some physics texts than recent theological tomes.

He quipped that if Dostoyevski had written the Mueller Report it would be called 'Crime and No Punishment.'

It got a laugh, but I'm not laughing. Because that isn't funny. Mueller is remiss because he passed the buck to a Congress he KNEW was dysfunctional; he KNEW the Republicans in the Senate have become the party of Trump and would never remove Trump if the House impeaches him; Mueller KNEW that today's Republicans in both House and Senate have totally put party over country.

Mitch McConnell and the others don't give a shit about this country, and for Mueller to think they somehow would 'turn around' in the face of his massive report, well, that just didn't happen.

I think Maher was right and Mueller was wrong not to break with precedent and indict Trump.
