He doesn't give a good rat's ass about anybody or anything but himself! He would be just as happy to destroy McTurtle or the Dumb-dumb brothers (his sons) as talk to them.

The root and core of our problem is a massive international dark web of plutocrats that own our GOP, the UK's Tories and other parties in democratic nations via their vast web of right-wing think tanks, media outlets and financial mechanisms. They outright buy elections - from city councils to presidents and PMs. Their cancer is spreading to Spain, Germany and others around the globe. Trump and Bolsonaro are just symptoms of this disease but get all the attention, while characters like the Murdochs, Mercers and the Koch clan stay in hiding but are the core cells of this cancer.
They choose the "right" side of the political spectrum only because right-wing philosophy fits their fundamental goals to control the lives of all working people on the planet from cradle to grave and to control all the earth's natural resources. They actually believe their wealth entitles them to it. Their primary weapon is divide and conquer, using every nasty tool they can including adulteration of any and all religions.
If we remove Trump, Pence and every existing GOP politician in Washington, their apparatus will simply go further into hiding and rear its ugly head again in a few years and with great vengeance. Let's face it honestly folks: they've got all the money and they took it from us.
I'm all for relegating Trump and the existing GOP system to the dustbin of history and think we should. However, I fear it will only provide temporary relief, like rubbing Jergens on melanoma. Until the free people of the world are willing to rise up in massive revolt to fight wealth inequality and the stealing and abusing of our earth's "commons", in the long-term we're screwed.
Anyone doubting this core issue should simply look at the exponential rise in campaign funding needed just for a seat in Congress.....
