Want to beat Trump?

This is something that you can do today and not only will it sink Drumph, but will help you as well. And it is simple - start a recession.

Trump's ace in the hole is "The Economy". The stock market up, employment is good, etc. I constantly hear Trumpians hawk the economy as the justification for their vote and their reason for re-electing him. You know, "he's a dreadful person, but look, The Economy." The Trump economy, however, has all the substance of Trump University. The Drumph administration has juiced the economy through deep tax cuts for the 1% and corporations, and then poured more fiscal gas on the fire with cheap prime rates (when they should have been raising them). A recession is overdue and most economists now predict one in the next two years. What we don't want is for that recession to start the day after Drumph is re-elected. It needs to be part of the election. And if you are wringing your hands about tanking the economy on purpose, get over it. The Economy goes up and it goes down. Like a big pimple, it is better when it pops, so the economic healing can start anew (sorry for the visual on that).

So here is what you can do. Stop buying stuff. Don't get a new car, don't eat out, don't buy a new flat screen 4K thingy, don't buy clothes. Cook something healthy at home and have friends over. Rent a DVD vs going to the movie. Also, every time you don't buy something, put that money in savings and about six months after the start of the recession, start buying back into the market. The classic buy low, sell high. If you are not an educated investor, then just by the SPY index. If you are savvy investor, buy cyclical stocks that will bounce back with the economy gets rolling again.

So DU soldiers. Serve your country, serve yourselves and sit on your wallets.

They make a backroom deal with him to Pardon his sorry ass. He's only running now because his titty is in the wringer. Give him an out and I bet he takes it.

putting off big purchases is not always an option for people. What if John Doe's family refrigerator dies? Do they postpone buying a new refrigerator for 6 months or a year just to hurt the economy? What is the Mary Smith's old car finally gives up the ghost? Does she not buy a new, or newer, car and not drive to work? Or if Jenny's daughter needs a new laptop for college?

A boycott may hurt an individual business, but the US economy is too big overall for a mass boycott to have a big effect.

What if Mary Smith and others don't have to make a purchase? Why do Democrats always point out reasons why things won't work? Better to clutch pearls, make another cup of tea, read a few more posts on DU than actually do something. Right? Let's show a little courage. Let's do something, anything. Trump plows through the world because he doesn't have a "worrying tummy". You don't beat that kind of guy pointing out all the reasons things won't work

instead of postponing your purchase, you donate money to a candidate or cause, contact your senators and/or representative, write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper, run for local office, contact your local representatives and/or governor or any other number of things that will have more of an impact.

I'm sure there is plenty sentiment for a big stick.

Horse whip might work, too.

Republicans will then immediately clamp down on cuts to everything and forcing average Americans to pay for the previous Republican fraud, because they want to be able to drive up debt in their future cycle again. Once the Democrat stabilizes everything again and gets to the point of actually being able to do things for average Americans, the cycle reverses and we will be stuck with another Republican that runs up debt by giving tax cuts to the wealthy and corporations. The endless cycle keeps forcing a lower standard of living for the American People, yet nobody points this out to the American People.

There's no way such a boycott would work. And if it did, you'd be affecting a whole lot more people than just the CEOs.

And corporations will always find some way to get you to buy their shiny new thing and keep you wired to the advertising machine, it's what they do.

The best way to boycott is to vote like your life depends on it, and get out the vote.
