Please stop arguing the false choice between impeaching vs. not impeaching

That's not an issue. The House Democrats, with a couple of exceptions, are pretty much on board with impeachment. The question is not WHETHER but WHEN, HOW and with WHAT?

Arguing that "if we don't impeach, this will happen" and "if he's not impeached, that will happen" is a false binary. Very few people are arguing that he shouldn't be impeached. But we can't just jump in willy nilly. We have one shot and it has to be done right.

So, instead of bickering about a non-existent choice, why not focus on helping the Dems do what they need to do to get all the ducks in a row so that we can do an impeachment that sticks and actually results in the outcomes we want, instead of something that satisfies our red-meat -craving base but, in the end, just leaves us where we were when we started, if not in an even worse position?

2. I asked ONE question: why don't Democrats stop complaining and do something to impact the process?

If Democrats are toast, it's not because I asked the question. It's because too many Democrats are only interested in complaining about what other people aren't doing and aren't willing to actually do anything themselves.

3. Sorry, but it is not clear at all that all of the House leadership is "on board with impeachment".

So it is an issue.

Nor is it a 'false choice", it is a clear and obvious real choice, even if all of our House delegation were in fact "on board".
A false choice is a fallacy that presents two alternatives as the only possible choices, when in fact there are more than two choices. If you can come up with a third choice for impeachment, one that is not covered by "try to impeach" and "don't try to impeach", please let me know what it is.

The choice is not to impeach or not to impeach, but to impeach right now or take the time to hold more hearings and build public support and then impeach.

But if people want to complain and attack Dems and insist that the only way to handle this is to impeach this very minute or we're all doomed, I can't stop you. But I'm going to do my best to encourage Democrats to be proactive and smart and engaged and will not allow myself to get bogged down arguing false choices and giving in to a sense of powerless.

4. Because some people are delaying it now in an attempt to delay it forever

That's why.

Impeachment proceedings should start immediately. There are more than enough reasons to do so.
