(39,120 posts)and let the House members obfuscate and waste Mueller's time with parliamentary gaslighting and over-the-top hysterical accusations.

Mueller has already proven he's not Rosenstein.

(4,341 posts)You know, to make sure he doesn't divulge information about on going investigations, and Barr will make sure that ALL of the investigation are open back by next week.
Will these be public?
Mr.Bill
(24,906 posts)He may just sit there and say "I can't comment on that because it's an ongoing investigation."
If he testifies in private, he could give information that could help their investigation.

(9,202 posts)Of course DOJ under Barr will say no to this.
But the House will subpoena Muller and he will eventually get there.
Now, with the revelation of the letter Muller sent to Barr on March 27th, it is evident that Barr lied under oath to the Senate when he said he didn't know if Mueller had any concerns about how Barr characterized the report.
This will be the beginning of the end for Barr.
Barr may eventually be compelled to testify under oath in the House.
These next few months are going to be exciting times.

(16,113 posts)Trump with a crime, where do we go next? Sure, we can try to impeach him without a crime we can prove in court, but hes not going anywhere unless the republicans have sufficient motivation to cut him loose, which they wont without a slam dunk crime.

Is he scheduled to testify?

(4,677 posts)Enough of this meaningless dicking around with Trump's goon squad. Barr and his stupid fucking letter shouldn't even be part of the discussion.
That said, Dems better prepare for Mueller to be an uncooperative witness. He's a Republican power player from the same clubhouse as Barr, not an apolitical lawman. He's going to punt and equivocate on every hard question, and he's not going to condemn either Trump or Barr no matter how many opportunities Dems give him to do so.
