Maddow dropped bombshell that indications are that Barr ordered the end of the Mueller investiga

BARR: If President believes he is falsely accused, he can terminate that investigaton

Wild from Barr: If the president feels a proceeding is unfounded, "the president does not have to sit there constitutionally and allow it to run its course. The president could terminate the proceeding and it would not be a corrupt intent because he was being falsely accused."

In any case, Mueller will be testifying next week. I hope Barr didn't tell Mueller to conclude.

Plus, it was time for Mueller to turn whatever he had over to Congress to take action. If he didn't have the goods on trump, he wasn't likely to get it by spending another year.

Finally, if Mueller was told to wrap it up, why didn't Mueller say so. At least go out with a bang, rather than a whimper.

Not a peep after March, 27th. Unless he testifies boldly in the next week or so, he and Fitzgerald fizzled and disappointed about equally.

- The AG can't do that. If he did, it is required to be reported to Congress. Mueller would tell us if Barr tried to hide it.

- Rachel has no story, she literally just said a sentence or two. It is extremely irresponsible.

I'm not sure there's any basis for that assertion. He might be more likely to voice his displeasure privately and attempt to resolve it there first, as he did with Barr's interpretation of the Mueller Report. Mueller has never been one to directly or overtly discuss issues publicly.

that it ended just a month after Barr came on board, even though there were still several cases still ongoing. Flynn and Gates were still cooperating in multiple unnamed investigations, and the mystery SCOTUS case is ongoing, and Stone's trial isn't till next fall.

Also, Mueller had the budget to continue through September.

For example:

https://theweek.com/articles/832175/did-barr-shutter-mueller-probe

Before Attorney General William Barr completed his two days of Capitol Hill hearings this week, lawmakers should have secured an answer to this fundamental question about his work: Did he prematurely shut down Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of the president?

would have the job of ending Mueller's investigation, IMHO.

They started paving the way with rumors that the investigation was almost done that started even before Sessions left.

Remember all those "false" reports that Mueller was almost done? They were setting it up for the new A.G.

Act is old and has damaged our country.

He has a week or so to set everything straight in a Congressional hearing. Hope he rises to the occasion.

So, if a person under investigation simply thought the investigation was unwarranted, that person could legally end the investigation.
I guess that pretty much ends the criminal justice system in this country.
All you have to do is say the investigation is a "witch hunt", and then shut it down.
Also, Barr says it's not illegal to tamper with a witness.
What law school did Barr attend?
It was George Washington University Law School in Washington DC.
Supposedly one of the most prestigious Law Schools in the country.
They should demand Barr give his diploma back, because he certainly doesn't understand the law.
Not to do so would imply this "law school" is a fake.
