Nuthin says Attorney General acting on behalf of the People like perjuring yourself in front of the nation in order to protect a lying, Russian-colluding pResident.
Nuthin says transparent and truthful like refusing to appear before Congress to answer their questions.
Nuthin says the courage of ones convictions like running away from honest inquiry into exactly what convictions you claim to hold, and how you have (allegedly) demonstrated your adherence to them.
Nuthin says professional integrity like declaring that Mueller failed to fulfill his mandate, while lying about what that mandate was.
Nuthin says commitment to the facts like an AG stating that the facts are what he says they are instead of presenting the actual facts.
Nuthin says no evidence of obstruction like a hand-picked, already-disgraced AG, who admits that he never looked at the underlying evidence before coming to that conclusion.
Nuthin says straightforward like an AG who cant answer a single question without stammering, hesitating, and attempting to redefine questions so as to avoid perjuring himself.
Nuthin says patriotism like an AG willing to lie under oath in order to protect a traitor who himself has lied to the American citizenry over 10,000 times in his first two-plus years in office.
Nuthin says innocence of wrongdoing like an AG who ignores proven facts in order to bolster the falsehoods that his pResident specifically hired him to promote.
In addition to the above, nuthin says truth-seeking like a Republican party that uses what should be a mission to find the truth to instead obfuscate it.
Above all else, nuthin says we stand for the values our country was founded on, and the principles our nation represents like a Republican party so apparently willing nay, anxious to defend and protect not the Constitution and the rule of law, but a pResident who is a proven liar, a racist, an adulterer, and self-proclaimed pussy-grabber, who stood on the world stage in Helsinki and declared that he was on Putins side rather than on the side of his own country.
It is now glaringly obvious that the GOP would rather sell out their own country and its citizens than admit that the pResident they elected, supported, and enabled is a con-man whose flim-flam they were willing to buy into if it meant having political power in their hands the truth, the facts, and the consequences be damned.
There is only one conclusion to be drawn: the GOP is the enemy of the people they swore a solemn oath to represent.
Barrs performance today has left no doubt in the minds of decent, honest people that the truth must be covered-up at all costs, lest the American people recognize the obvious.
The Republicans who participated in todays hearing are now known to be traitors and all the GOP spin theyre now engaged in is, on its face, the indisputable proof thereof.

(16,926 posts)but the closing comments strike hardest:

I lived through Watergate and remember truly striking, changing moments. What we saw today was one of those kinds of moments.

(23,002 posts)vote gop. Today was the new low. From the f bomb in the first statement by a SENATE JUDICIARY CHAIRPERSON, TO THE 1/2 HOUR AFter the hearings when the same person said no more. Ever wonder if the dropping the f bomb was intended to throw of the hearing from the beginning and have it spiral into incivility? So lindsay could act like the whole thing was just SO ugly, that the gop couldnt move forward w more hearings bc,,, decorum, and the appalling behavior of the D senators....literally just asking questions. My parents told me once, if youre doing something you cant talk about later when we ask you about it, chances are good you shouldnt be doing that thing. Thats ALL the Ds were doing today. Asking about a disagreeable topic that NO ONE on our side asked for. This is a 100% gop shitshow. And they know it. From roger ahole stone to bill barr...is a group of people who would sell their own kid off in prostitution if it served them and made their lives better. As if the dems are benghazi'ing this right? bull crap. We HAVE to ask you about this stuff BILL, and LINDSAY. You made your bed, we all just unfortunately have to be laying in it.

(3,074 posts)It is a disgrace that the GOP is covering for the racist, sexist con man/criminal.
I am so angry that we are not moving on impeachment now.

(7,888 posts)signifying nothing", it seems to me that rump has exceeded "his hour" and needs an election hook to pull a rotten actor giving a bad performance off the stage before the audience demands a refund or a hanging.
