My personal opinion, I think it would be far more damaging to this attorney general and to this executive branch to just say "Whatever, we're not considering your opinion on anything else from here on out."
Barr says something and gives you a written statement, just throw it in the trash. It's not even worth using as birdcage liner.
So why waste everyone's time if he's just going to lie again?
Maybe instead of a subpoena, the House does the opposite, call up the sergeant at arms and tell Barr to stay far away from the House.

(18,770 posts)...in his presser yesterday evening. He said he's going to focus on getting the report and, hopefully, Mueller shortly. BUT, it sounds like a contempt citation is in the cards for JabBarr the Hutt.

(58,785 posts)Here's one for JUST the criminal division, though organization may have changed or grown over time:
The DoJ, which has well over 100,000 employees, is the attorney for the people of the United States. It breaks organized crime rings for us and puts terrorists in prison for us. It also processes background checks so we can get hired for/start our new jobs. And of course a whole hell of a lot more, like investigating and prosecuting corruption and crimes in government.
Hopefully this helps illustrate a bit just what an astonishing perversion of the DoJ Barr acting as attorney for a criminal president, against the DoJ's duty, is and why protecting him and people like Whitacker, instead of escorting them to and from their cells, is such a great insult to their FBI bodyguards and chauffeurs.

(11,885 posts)For his and trump's removal from office , one way or another. He shows contempt for the rule of law, and the truth, and is an disgrace to every law enforcement person in this country now. Barr' helping people turn on trump and the GOP with his arrogance, his lies, and his obvious obstruction for trump to end this investigation corruptly. Its all backfiring on trump , Barr , and the gop, and they learned nothing from the disaster they had from the Mid Terms. Unless trump declares elections are corrupt to eliminate them to stay in office. He could declare that to use to stay in office, and may. He's that corrupt. Barr is too.

And letting his SIL and Daughter go to work for Trump sullied them, too!
Not sure where his thinking is.
