Sure it's invisible, but considering its constant, ruling influences on every part of our lives, isn't it really strange that we keep trying to just blow it off? I'd be very interested in more informed views on the time aspects of all this.

Regarding which, the author of the regulations governing special prosecutors has an opinion piece in yesterday's NYT. His explanation of the process is good reading, and his perspective is that we're "in the fifth inning" of this process timewise.
